The Zambia Manger UBF ministry joyfully hosted its 2025 Easter Retreat with the goal of deepening their understanding of Christ’s sacrificial love, His resurrection, and His victory over death. Though many of the scheduled programs had to be adjusted due to academic conflicts, the retreat was filled with joy, close fellowship, and abundant grace.

The retreat began with a worship service at noon. Moses delivered a moving message on Isaiah 53, highlighting Christ’s suffering as the ultimate sacrifice for humanity’s redemption. The key verse was Isaiah 53:5 “He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities.” They reflected on how Christ’s suffering was foretold centuries before His birth and fulfilled exactly as prophesied—testifying that Jesus is truly the promised Messiah. The message helped them experience God’s one-sided grace in a personal way.

Saturday began with Bible studies. Brother Elvis led the student group, teaching what it means to die to sin and live a new life in Christ, while Mercy led the children’s group. Later, Chishimba delivered a powerful message on Romans 6, encouraging everyone to live as “instruments of righteousness” because they are united with Christ in His death and resurrection.

On Easter Sunday, Chilufya preached on the resurrection of Jesus as the foundation of Christian hope. Luke 24:5-6 says “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!” The program concluded with heartfelt prayers of thanksgiving, followed by a joyful dinner outing at East Park.

To wrap up the retreat, Zambia UBF spent the day enjoying games, laughter, and fellowship. It was a great way to celebrate the joy of Easter together.

Despite the challenges of academic schedules, the 2025 Easter Retreat was a testimony to God’s faithfulness. The Holy Spirit moved powerfully through His Word, refreshing and strengthening all who attended. The students left joyful and encouraged. Chishimba wrote “Thank you so much for the conference. We had spiritual refreshment. Not only that, but we also had physical refreshment. School has been stressful and we feel that sense of liberation.”

Zambia UBF is deeply thankful for your continued prayer support. Special thanks to Mercy, the student leaders, and all who participated with dedication and open hearts. They pray that the seeds planted during this retreat will grow and bear fruit throughout Zambia and beyond.
