(HQ-NASAC) Send Workers into the Harvest Fields of North America

By Pastor Ron Ward

North American Senior Advisory Council (NASAC)

The inaugural meeting of the North American Senior Advisory Council (NASAC) was held on April 24–25, 2026 in Chicago. The council comprises former senior staff members: Abraham Kim (Minneapolis), Jacob Lee (Washington), Paul Hong (Toledo), Mark Vucekovich (Chicago), Teddy Hembekides (Triton), Mark Yang (HQ), Henry Park (HQ), Kevin Albright (Chicago), and Ron Ward (HQ). Additionally, current HQ staff members Augustine Suh and Moody Salah also participated. Monica Suh and Claudia Berra served joyfully.

Purpose of the Meeting: The primary focus of the meeting was to pray for the raising of shepherds in North America. We embraced Matthew 9:37-38 as our guiding scripture: "Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”

The Harvest is Plentiful: The harvest of souls on North American college campuses is abundant. Many young people are wandering like sheep without a shepherd, vulnerable to worldly influences and the schemes of the devil. They face numerous anxieties and concerns in a rapidly changing society; yet they are also hungry for God and seeking the truth.

With the right shepherds, like Jesus, their lives can be transformed. North America has the potential to be a powerful missionary-sending continent, more than ever before—but the workers are few. There is a shortage of individuals with Christ-like compassion, spiritual authority, and godly character who are willing to serve this generation as humble shepherds.

Call to Action: What can we do? Jesus taught us to pray for more workers in the harvest field. We prayed earnestly during our meeting. We agreed to continue meeting for prayer on a regular basis.

Join us in prayer! We invite you to join us in prayer, asking Jesus to raise up shepherds for North America. We believe that God will bless countless young people seeking guidance and hope in answer to our prayers.
