Uganda UBF prayed for spiritual revival during their Easter conference. There were six impactful messages. Michael’s message on John 8 was deeply moving because of Jesus' loving kindness and mercy as He gave a new mission and purpose to a sinner with a painful past. Calvin’s message on Isaiah 53:1–10 deepened our understanding of Jesus’ suffering, a demonstration of God’s love and justice. For the suffering Jesus endured on our behalf, we surely do not have a better friend than Jesus.
After the messages, Missionary Grace Kang shared how God placed African students on her heart while she was still a young student in a small town in Korea. Her testimony of perseverance and sacrificial love for Ugandan campus students inspired many of us to renew our own calling.
Day two included a Daily Bread message on Hosea 6:1-3 by Missionary Abigail, who emphasized God’s restorative grace. Gerald’s message from Luke 24:1–35 illustrated the transformative power of Jesus’ resurrection, as Jesus personally revealed Himself to a woman and two men on their way to Emmaus. Afterward, ministry leaders shared updates and prayer topics and discussed the three principles to transform our African ministry: self-governance, self-supporting, and self-integration. The evening was full of joy and celebration, as we sang songs of praise and shared heartfelt testimonies. The Children's Bible Fellowship (CBF) also shared testimonies and prayer topics, reminding us of the importance of nurturing faith in the next generation
The final day featured Isaac’s message on our new identity in Romans 6:8-14 and Peter’s message from 1 Corinthians 15:1–11, challenging everyone to accept and hold firm to the truth of Christ’s resurrection, the foundation of our faith and calling. Peter’s testimony of struggling and maturing as a young leader with a growing family resonated with many. Through his vulnerability, we were encouraged to keep pressing on in our own calling.
The conference, organized by next-generation leaders, revitalized attendees and encouraged them to receive Christ’s resurrection as a daily reality for living out God’s mission.
