By the grace of God, Atlanta UBF held our Summer Bible Retreat from July 2–5 at a retreat center in Alabama. The theme of this year’s retreat was “Who Jesus Is, and Who We Are.” Through God’s Word, we were invited to encounter Jesus, the One who longs for our confession of faith, who seeks the lost and calls each of us by name, who alone is worthy of our whole lives, and who calls us to remain in Him and bear fruit that lasts.

As we came to know who Jesus is, we were also challenged to rediscover who we are as His children and disciples and how we are called to respond to Him with faith, love, and joyful obedience. This was the central goal of our retreat, and we thank God for accomplishing His work in each heart and receiving all the glory.
The retreat messages followed the theme of the NAYAC 2026 Conference (May 2026) and were delivered by growing young leaders and students, reflecting God’s work of raising the next generation of spiritual leaders and disciples.
Speakers
1. Matthew 16:13–17: “Who Do You Say I Am?” by Sam Y.
2. Luke 19:1–10: “Jesus Came to Seek and Save the Lost” by Hannah C.
3. Marriage Seminar: “God’s Design for Marriage” by Esther Yun
4. Philippians 3:1–14: “Jesus Is Worthy” by Jennifer D.
5. John 15:1–17 “I Am the Vine; You Are the Branches: Bear Fruit” by Immanuel I.
By God’s grace, 25 people attended the retreat, including eight newcomers from Georgia state Kennesaw University. We thank Him for bringing each person and for His faithful work in every heart.

On Saturday evening, Sister Semi and Sister Seoyoung shared their life testimonies, reflecting on how God has worked in their lives from birth through college. Following them, everyone also shared personal reflections based on the messages from the retreat. Through these testimony-sharing sessions, we came to know one another’s lives, struggles, and prayer topics more deeply while encouraging one another to respond to God’s grace with faith. We were especially encouraged that every young person shared their testimony, creating an atmosphere of openness, mutual encouragement, and spiritual growth.
The marriage seminar helped many young adults embrace God’s design for marriage and gave them a biblical vision for their future families. As they reflected on God’s Word, they shared their hopes and commitments to build Christ-centered marriages that would glorify God.
The retreat was also enriched by joyful fellowship through various activities; pickle ball tournament, swimming, zip lining, and game night. As we worshiped, played, served, and spent time together, we learned to love, encourage, support, and care for one another as the family of God. Many shared in their testimonies that they experienced the joy, peace, and happiness of God’s Kingdom throughout the retreat.

We are especially thankful for our senior missionaries and coworkers, who generously and joyfully prepared and served abundant meals throughout the retreat. Their sacrificial love and wholehearted support reflected the love of Christ and strengthened the unity of our community.
Through serving one another across generations, we experienced the beauty of becoming one family in Christ.
Above all, we give all glory and thanks to God for His faithful work in every heart throughout the retreat.
Please pray that Atlanta UBF may continue to raise disciples of Jesus among college students and the 2nd generation who love God, love their neighbors, faithfully follow Christ, and joyfully participate in God’s world mission.
May God establish Atlanta UBF as a city on a hill, shining the light of Christ across Atlanta campuses and raising faithful disciples, shepherds, and spiritual leaders for the next generation and for God’s world mission.
To God be all the glory.
