“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” John 15:4
Zimbabwe UBF was pioneered by Missionary James Lee in 1995. After 30 years, on October 19, 2025, leadership was changed from missionary James Lee to a Zimbabwean leader, Blessed Fungirai. Blessed shared his life testimony based on John 15:4, "I am grateful for the grace of the Lord who called and used me in this work. I pray that I may grow into a servant of the word of God who deeply understands and correctly handles the word of God. When I review my life, I can understand God’s heart to send his servant to call people and teach the word of God. So now I can answer the Lord, ‘Lord, here I am. Send me."’ To celebrate the leadership transition, missionary James gave a special message based on 2 Peter 2, the Living Stone and a chosen people. Missionary Livingstone Kang of Uganda also sent a congratulatory message and encouragement.

Zimbabwe UBF expresses their gratitude to the missionaries who have worked with missionary James Lee for many years: Caleb & Rebecca Shin, Dr. Samuel & Anna Lee, and David & Susana Kim. They also give thanks to God for their current Bible center, purchased in 2002. In this center, they were able to serve God’s mission for the University of Zimbabwe through prayer, the missionaries’ offerings, and support from Pastor Teddy of Triton UBF. The chapter expresses gratitude to missionary Petra, who has worked diligently and faithfully taught the word of God. They give thanks to God for her healing and recovery from breast cancer.
