As we prepare for the World Mission Congress 2026, I have been meditating deeply on Isaiah 6, and especially God’s words, “Whom shall I send?” Though the people of Israel were rebellious and had become utterly corrupted, the Lord visited them and called Isaiah to share his message with them. God longed for his people with a heart of love and compassion, like the father of the prodigal son. It was this heart of God’s love that moved the first generation of UBF missionaries to go into all the world and preach the gospel to people of many nations. The real treasure of Korea is not the Korean wave, but the glory of being used to bless people of many nations with the gospel. I believe the Lord wants to renew this heart of love in us through the World Mission Congress. Let’s pray to meet the holy, almighty God, who is also the God of love for his people. As we encounter him, may he renew his love and his calling in our hearts. Let’s pray for 1,000 people to hear his voice and answer, “Here am I! Send me!” Many have registered to attend from all over the world. Yet, there is still room. If you have not registered, please pray about doing so soon. I believe God will richly bless you.
Thanks be to God that the North American Young Adults Conference (NAYAC) is being well prepared by Susan Yun, Dr. Moses Noh, Missionary David Park, and many others, young and old, who are working with them. The messengers are giving their hearts prayerfully to the Lord and listening to his voice. I believe God will bless this conference abundantly. It is important for us all to pray for it and to encourage young people around us to participate.
These days, we see many senior leaders, who have served faithfully, showing the signs of aging, retiring, and the limits of our human bodies. Dr. Henry Park has moved to Chicago to receive treatment for kidney cancer. Please pray for him. Several other senior leaders have also had surgeries recently. One generation is passing. Yet, our faithful God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has been working to prepare the next generation of leaders. May he help us identify them, encourage them, and empower them to take leadership in his world mission movement.
