"He Is the Living God"
We thank God for blessing the conference richly with His grace and truth through the living Word of God. The opening message was delivered by Africa Coordinator M. Livingstone Kang, titled “The Kingdom of Heaven is Like the Hidden Treasure,” based on Matthew 13:44. We were challenged to sell all we have and invest in the Kingdom of God.
 
Abia from South Africa delivered a powerful main message (1): “He Is the Living God,” based on Daniel 6:1–28. Through his message, we learned about Daniel’s faith in the living God and his life of prayer. Although Daniel’s situation was worse than our own in Africa, he remained faithful to God, made strong decisions of faith, and dedicated himself to a life of prayer. In a situation where success seemed impossible, God made him a very successful man in his spiritual life, job, and family life. Daniel was able to make God known throughout the pagan world, and God was praised and glorified by the king, who declared, “For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.”
 
The next evening, Pastor Juma Fuchingo from Kenya gave a special lecture titled “Self-Support and Giving,” based on Acts 18:1–4. His lecture explored various opportunities for obtaining better means of self-support and giving generously to God’s mission. The lecture on self-support was particularly helpful, as this year Africa UBF is focusing on the principles of self-propagating, self-supporting, and self-governing.
 
We thank God for the abundant grace and encouragement we received through the new message delivered by General Director Pastor Ron Ward, titled “The Living Hope.” We, as African leaders, need the living hope to empower us and give us dynamic, influential lives. African UBF leaders are the hope of our nations and the world. God wants to use us to change the world. We need living hope to impact our lives and develop a true Christian attitude.
 
Immediately following the conference, Pan-Africa cohort members were blessed with two days of theological lectures. They were joyful, receiving life-giving words from God. By the grace of God, the next Africa New Year Conference will be held in Kenya from December 12–14, 2025.

  1. May we live like Daniel, placing our hope in the living God.
  2. May we apply the three principles to Africa UBF ministry (self-propagating, self-supporting, self-governing).
