(JAPAN) Tokyo UBF Fall Discipleship Conference Inspires Spiritual Leadership Among Attendees

The Tokyo University Bible Fellowship (UBF) Fall Discipleship Conference took place at the Tokyo UBF Church on October 12-13, 2024.

The first main lecture, titled "We Are Appointed as Shepherds and Missionaries," was delivered by Maya and based on 2 Timothy chapter 1. The second lecture, "A Worker Who Has Nothing to Be Ashamed Of," was presented by Samuel and focused on 2 Timothy chapter 2.

On the first day of the conference, three sisters—Risako, Erisa, and Megumi—shared their heartfelt testimonies and were appointed as spiritual leaders akin to the shepherds mentioned in the Bible. Despite facing various personal challenges, they expressed their determination to serve as spiritual shepherds, dedicated to take care of Jesus’ flock (1 Peter 5:2-3).

Throughout the conference, many attendees reflected on God's calling for us to live as shepherds and missionaries for this generation. This realization encouraged us to dedicate ourselves to God, aspiring to be recognized as workers who handle the word of truth with integrity and without shame (2 Timothy 2:25).
