(CANADA) By the Power of the Spirit: Victoria, Vancouver 3, and Fraser UBF United Summer Retreat

A total of 32 people attended the Victoria, Vancouver 3 and Fraser United Summer Retreat. I was quite concerned because we were not adequately prepared. However, God heard our prayers and blessed us with many wonderful works of the Holy Spirit. In particular, Brother George was shocked and deeply saddened when he arrived at the retreat center and immediately received the news that his grandfather had passed away. Because of this, he said that he might not be able to share the testimony he had prepared. However, he was deeply moved and greatly blessed to see Missionary Joshua and his family serving at the retreat with thanksgiving, even though it had only been a few months since Missionary Helen went home to be with the Lord. Through Josh’s message, we were reminded once again that Missionary Helen is in heaven with Jesus. Afterward, Brother George overcame his sorrow by faith and shared the testimony he had prepared with a thankful heart and with much grace. Through this experience, God helped us realize deeply that His work is accomplished not by human strength but only by the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that this united fellowship will continue to humbly serve God and the lost souls in Vancouver.
