(UKRAINE) Odessa UBF Expresses Their Gratitude for God’s Sovereign Love Over Ukraine

By John Lee

We thank God for the love, prayer, and support of UBF World Headquarters and Korea UBF, in the midst of prolonged difficulties. Since the end of February 2022, Missionary Grace Lee, Augustine, Tanya, Alexei, Viola, Maria, and Maxim have been praying together daily through online meetings. By God’s help, Odessa UBF was able to hold a Thanksgiving Worship Service on October 26, 2025. We give thanks to God for allowing us to study the book of Romans with Missionary John Lee.

During the service, three disciples — Viola, Siryoza, and Vanya — along with two second-generation members, Mark and Rebecca, shared their thanksgiving topics. The message, titled “Praise the Lord” from Psalm 135, reminded us that God is our Creator; He is good, and His name is beautiful. We thank the Lord for establishing brothers’ and sisters’ tents and for raising disciples among us. We are grateful for God’s sovereign love over Ukraine. Through difficulties, He is turning His remaining people back to Himself. Like “Joseph whose wounds became stars,” we thank God for continuing to bless us to become His holy people and a kingdom of priests according to His hope. John Lee was especially thankful for being able to personally share thanksgiving topics with Abraham Vasilenko and Sarah.

We deeply appreciate the precious love and support from the World Headquarters and Korea UBF, who always pray for us and serve us with love.
