Event Category: 2024 Christmas Worship Service
Chapter: Karlsruhe, Germany

Date: December 15, 2024
Title (Theme): Immanuel - God with Us

The first part of the worship service, titled “Immanuel - God with Us,” was led by James Kim, who preached from Matthew 1. We learned that God loved us so much that He came in the form of a helpless baby to save us from sin and death, taking our sins upon Himself on the cross and granting us eternal life through His resurrection. Jesus, Immanuel, is our Savior, who is still with us today, providing comfort and guidance at every moment of our lives. It was a time to open our hearts and welcome Jesus back into our lives.

In the second part of the worship service, we continued in the grace of worship by sharing the joy of Christmas through various programs. The women’s choir and the violin and cello duet by Brothers James and Joseph enriched the atmosphere with their beautiful melodies, adding to the reverence and joy of Christmas. Tobias’ interpretation of the message of Christ’s birth, as depicted in old Nativity images, brought the message of Christ’s birth vividly to life for all attendees.

A special highlight was the Nativity play directed by Tobias, which deeply touched everyone’s hearts. The play told the story of Matthew, a selfish and lonely man who encounters Jesus, repents, and is transformed into a new life through Jesus’ call. It powerfully conveyed the love and grace of Jesus, Immanuel. The play was not just a performance but a moving time of unity with the Christmas message.

In addition, sister Bianca’s piano and clarinet performance added to the Christmas joy, and Brother Richard’s testimony, “A Letter to Myself,” was deeply moving as he shared God’s grace in his life.

The transformation of Timaea brought us great joy. Her joy was greatly restored during the preparation for Christmas. She beautified the center, prepared meals, and shared gifts with everyone. Her devotion and transformation reminded us of the tax collector in the Bible who invited Jesus to a joyful feast. This transformation was a powerful testimony to the love and power of the Lord Immanuel.

During the meal, we celebrated the joy of Christmas by sharing the food that each of us had prepared. It was a festive time filled with gratitude and emotion, as everyone shared in the joy of Christmas.

Throughout the year, we have prayed for the salvation of souls on the campus and for world mission, and we are deeply grateful for God’s grace that enables us to fulfill our mission.

In 2025, we earnestly pray that Immanuel Jesus may always be with us and that God’s grace and blessings may be abound in our lives and ministry.
