Believe in Jesus

The Japan UBF and CBF Summer Conference was held from August 10th to 12th, 2024, with the theme "Believe in Jesus." A total of 130 people attended the conference. It was a conference where we learned about faith in Jesus and received God's grace. The young people in Japan had a personal encounter with Jesus and made a confession of faith, and their faith grew during the conference.

The first main message was delivered by missionary John K. on "The God of the Living" (Mk 12:18-27). Through this message, we learned that we need to live a life of faith like those who are alive in Christ. The second main message was given by Pastor Abraham N. on "The Christ of God" (Mk 8:27-9:1). We wrote our reflections and confessed Jesus as the Christ. Pastor Ryosuke S. delivered the third main message on "Pressing On Toward the Goal" (Php 3:1-21). He shared his testimony about studying for a master's and a doctoral degree while working and how he obtained his doctoral degree after ten years. This year, he started working at Tokyo University.
The evening message was delivered by Pastor Hayato T. on "Do Not Be Afraid; Just Believe" (Mk 5:21-43). He shared his testimony of getting married by faith last year despite opposition from his parents. Although his parents did not attend the wedding, God turned their hearts, and when he visited them this year, they warmly welcomed him. Missionary Paul C. delivered the morning message: "Blessed is the One" (Psalm 1). He testified that he obtained a doctoral degree at Tohoku University while holding onto God's word and achieved victory in his professional life by relying on God's word.

All other programs were also filled with grace, including workshops, praise, and recreational activities. During the baptism and communion service, four second-generation members gave testimonies and were baptized.
