“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel....” (2 Timothy 2:8)

The times we live in seem more and more troubling with each passing day. Conflicts between nations, ethnic groups and political parties are boiling over. Moral confusion has become so serious that a presidential order was needed in the USA to clarify that there are only two genders. Economies are shaking and the feeling of uncertainty about the future has become palpable. It is easy for people to be so distracted and distraught that they forget what season this is; it is Easter season–the time to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.

The Apostle Paul wrote: “Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead.” Jesus’ resurrection is God’s victory over sin, death, and the devil forever. Jesus’ resurrection assures us who believe in him that our sins are forgiven, we are God’s children, and we have eternal life in his glorious kingdom. Jesus’ resurrection reveals God’s great salvation work that puts our small struggles into perspective. As we “Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead,” he gives us joy, peace, and the power to live holy and dynamic lives. We can preach the gospel, raise disciples of Christ, and pray for all nations.

Throughout our UBF community, we are holding conferences and special worship services to remember Jesus Christ, who was raised from the dead. May God bless and use these events to turn people's hearts from the troubled world to Christ. As we remember Jesus Christ, may the Holy Spirit bring about a spiritual revival that truly changes our nations and the world. Thank you for your prayers for the Latin American conference. We believe that God has answered in his divine power and wisdom–especially by granting nearly 700 who have registered. The Lord has also poured out his Spirit on all conference messengers. However, Hugo from Venezuela, one of the speakers, did not get his visa–even though we prayed much for this. Nevertheless, he will deliver his message via recording. Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit may work powerfully through his recorded message! We can also realize how difficult life is in Venezuela and Latin America. Yet it is in times like these, and in places like these, that God’s power and love are so often manifest. Let us pray for the people of Latin America to receive Christ’s endless love. Let’s pray for them to see God’s vision for Latin America as a missionary-sending continent and a blessing to the world. Most of all, let us remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead!
