Praise God for abundantly blessing the Bern–Karlsruhe Joint Bible Retreat, held September 11–13, 2026, at the Lörrach DJH Youth Hostel in Germany. Under the theme “The Gospel of the Cross, the Power of God,” about twenty participants deeply studied and received the message of the cross. Through Bible messages, life testimonies, prayer, praise, and “One Word, One Sentence” sharing, each person was encouraged to respond personally to God’s word.
We especially thank God that the messengers sincerely testified to the power, forgiveness, love, and transforming grace of Jesus’ cross. Participants opened their hearts, repented, received God’s forgiveness, and made practical decisions of faith. The two small chapters became united through prayer, fellowship, and loving service, and God planted a shared vision for the campuses of Basel, Biel, Bern, Karlsruhe, and, in the future, Zürich.
Please continue to pray that the words received at the retreat may bear lasting fruit in everyone’s daily life. Pray that Bern and Karlsruhe may continue their loving partnership and faithfully serve each precious student through Bible study and prayer. May God open doors for the gospel throughout the German-speaking campuses of Switzerland and raise disciples of Jesus. All glory and praise be to God, who renews us through the grace of the cross!
