After the Easter Bible conference, students were inspired by Jesus' message from John 21:15 and expressed desire to become shepherds of His flock. Traditionally, first-year students were given the responsibility to lead and shepherd after their first year, but the leadership decided to wait until the second year for students to mature in their understanding of what it means to shepherd people. With only three weeks before final exams, the leadership prayed for God's guidance in preparing the students for their new responsibilities.

The Discipleship Camp focused on three spiritual principles: morning devotion, life testimony, and shepherd-ology Bible study, including two lectures from John 1:35-51 and John 10:1-18. Participants gained insights into shepherding as a noble task and expression of love for Jesus. At the program's conclusion, students shared life testimonies that reflected maturity, confidence, and humility in accepting God’s call. Ultimately, twelve students accepted the call to be shepherds and received certificates during a designation ceremony. Kenya UBF now prays for these new shepherds to be faithful servants, continually remembering Jesus' calling to feed His lambs.
