Professor Yoo, also known as the 'White-Haired Doctor of Uganda,' has been awarded the 2024 JW Sungcheon Award for his dedication to providing medical care in Africa. For the past 30 years, he has provided free medical care and trained local healthcare professionals in remote areas with limited access to medical services. Yoo's work has included establishing hospitals, clinics, and departments, as well as conducting free medical clinics. He has also educated and mentored thousands of doctors in Africa. The award ceremony will take place in September 2024.
