Conference Category: Belize UBF Center Dedication Ceremony & Leadership Transition Ceremony
Chapter: Belize UBF in Central America
Date: December 1, 2024
Location: Belize UBF
Title (Theme): "The Living Stone" (1 Peter 2:4-8)
Missionaries Moses and Sarah Chang, who retired from their ministry in Washington, USA, pioneered the Belize UBF ministry in 2009. Over the past 16 years, God has blessed their dedication, prayers, and one-to-one ministry, raising disciples of Jesus, including Dillon Leal, a spiritual descendant of faith. Since 2019, they have been praying for a new center while worshiping in a small space. Through the generous offerings and support of many coworkers, they were able to purchase and remodel the new center in 2024.

At the Center Dedication Service, Missionary Mark Yang delivered a message from 1 Peter 2:4-8, titled “The Living Stone.” He proclaimed that through the Belize Center, many would encounter Jesus Christ, the living stone, and that disciples would rise to make the center a house of prayer for Central America and the world, as well as a base for sending missionaries. Following this, the Leadership Transition Ceremony took place, during which Missionary Moses Chang passed on the directorship of Belize UBF to Dillon Leal. Missionary Sarah Chang presented the pioneering history of Belize UBF. Dillon Leal then gave his acceptance speech as the new director. Afterward, the missionaries laid hands on him and prayed for him to be established as a holy priest.

On the evening of Saturday, November 30, Missionary Jacob Lee from Washington UBF officiated a Communion Ceremony and Baptism Service. Five women—Eva Canton, Jenique Hyde, Rasheeda Armida Cal, Angelica Lopez, and Melanie Lammy—were baptized during the ceremony.
