1. After instructing his disciples, what did Jesus himself continue to do (1, 10:7-8, 4:23)? What was John the Baptist’s question to Jesus, and why do you think he asked this question (2-3, 3:10, 4:12)? How do you resolve, if any, lingering doubt or unmet expectation in your Christian walk?
2. What had John’s disciples heard and seen (4, Lk 7:21)? How did Jesus answer John’s question (5, Isa 35:5-6, 61:1)? Who are blessed (6), and what does this proclamation suggest (Isa 53:2)?
