REIGN IN LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
 
Key Verse: 5:17, "For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ."
 
  1.  What does the “spread” and “reign” of death from one man Adam tell us about the nature of sin (12–14)? In light of these verses, how are we all part of that same cycle?
  2.  List the ways Paul compares and contrasts “the free gift” with “the trespass” (15–16).
  3.  What is God’s promise to us through Jesus Christ (17)? Why is it so important for us to “receive” this gift and believe this “reign”?
  4.  What was Christ’s “one act of righteousness,” and what impact did it have (18–19)?
  5.  In light of verse 19, how can we live in Christ, and thus share in his impact in the world?
  6.  What does Paul conclude about the power and effect of the grace of Christ (20–21)? How does this help us in our sanctification?
