(SOUTH SUDAN) South Sudan’s First Children’s Bible Conference: "We Are the Children of Light"

Praise be to God for blessing the first South Sudan Children's Bible conference. The conference was held for one day, 9 am to 5 pm, on February 7, 2026, at the UBF Bible house. God sent around 50 children of different ages, from 5 to 14 years old. The theme of the conference was drawn from Matthew 5:14-15. "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house."
 
During the conference, children recited Bible verses and listened to four short lectures, delivered by CBF teachers. The message titles were “God's Unconditional Love (1 John 4:7-12);” “God’s Plan for My Life (1 John 4:7-12);” Stand Firm in the Faith (1 Corinthians 16:13-24);” Prayer and Personal Devotion (Philippians 4:6-7),” and “Life-changing Aspects (Romans 12:1-2).”

Two years ago, our church hired two teachers to take care of our CBF on a weekly basis, and many children from nearby families joined the ministry. Children are enjoying memorizing Bible verses and learning new hymns.
 
Prayer Topics: 
1. For CBF to grow in spirit as a second generation for UBF ministry in South Sudan
2. For enough space to accommodate children during Sunday worship service 
3. For most children who are not able to join school due to the economic situation
