Chapter: UBF Chapters is Canada & the U.S., Latin America and Asia
The Board President, Elder Jim R., shared an inspiring message on John 15. Through his message, Jesus’ word spoke to us to glorify God by bearing much fruit as Jesus’ disciples–especially love, joy, and peace, which can spread to all UBF chapters and our communities and campuses. Seven new leaders were welcomed into membership. Many reports were shared by various Elders and department chairpersons. Among the decisions made at this meeting, Dr. Augustine S. was confirmed as the North America Coordinator, and M. Moses N. was introduced as the Vice NA Coordinator. I shared the GD report and gave prayer topics accessible through the link (https://docs.google.com/document/d/19QWs9xojxnSn-Hbv0YoNTFLldbZr7GwA7uJjqI8NQOw/edit?usp=sharing). The meeting finished with earnest prayer. We are especially grateful for the prayer support of Mother Barry, M. Rebecca C., and M. Grace A. L. and for the wholehearted service of Chicago UBF in hosting this event.
This coming week, we will hold the North American Staff Conference in New York. More than 200 intend to gather to listen to God’s words, pray, and share fellowship. Please pray for God’s blessing on this important event, and especially on the messengers: P. Juan S. (1 Peter 2), P. Ron W. (1 Peter 1), and P. Mark V. (1 Peter 5).
Thanks for your prayers for the Latin American Conference, to be held April 17-20 in Mexico. Registration has increased remarkably and now exceeds 500. We pray for 650 attendants, including many from North America. There will be an in-person messenger camp from February 27- March 1 in Bogota, Colombia. I and Dervilla, together with P. Juan S. and mentors from Latin America, will attend this camp. Please pray especially for the six Latin American messengers: Saul L. (needs visa), Efrain U., Jazmin R., Moses P., Hugo H. (needs visa), and John R.; please pray for M. Isaac P., who is overseeing preparations, confronting many challenges. May the Lord continue to give him divine wisdom and strength to the end.
The Asian Directors Conference, held in S. nation from January 9-11, was greatly blessed by God. The messages were Spirit-filled and very powerful, the special lectures were very meaningful, and the reports and testimonies revealed the great work of God in Asia. M. Barnabas and Aroma B., the pioneers of S. nation UBF, and M. Luke and Sarah J., who have been fruitful coworkers, prayed together for one year and spent a lot of energy and effort preparing for this conference. It is quite notable and historic that 19 native leaders attended this conference, and the Pan Asian Pastoral Cohort was launched by Dr. Ezra C. and P. Abraham L., with 15 native leaders. They will study together bi-weekly for the next four years to cover seminary-level pastoral courses. After the conference, I delivered the Sunday message in S. nation to about 60 people who remained.
