(AUSTRALIA) Melbourne UBF Called to Live as God’s Chosen People at 2026 Summer Bible Conference

Theme: “Who Am I?”
Key Verse: 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
We thank and praise God, who richly blessed the 2026 Melbourne Summer Bible Conference with His living Word. A total of 48 people attended, including 10 from Hanyang UBF and 5 from Ansan UBF, Korea. The conference theme, “Who Am I?”, led us to discover our true hope, identity, and mission through the study of 1 Peter chapters 1, 2, and 5.
We thank God for raising Felicity W, Daniel Y, and Dokyung L as messengers who faithfully delivered His Word with conviction and grace. Through the messages, we learned that we are saved not by our own merit but by God’s grace alone. Jesus Christ, the cornerstone, gathers us as His chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and God’s precious possession. We also thank the Holy Spirit who helped us understand our identity in Christ more deeply.
We are also grateful for the book seminar led by Faith K, who spoke on The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness by Tim Keller. We were reminded that true freedom and identity in Christ come not from self-esteem or self-condemnation but from knowing we are fully accepted by God through the gospel. Because of this grace, we no longer need to perform for approval but can serve God and others freely.
We give thanks for the testimony sharers — Esther S, Msn. Lewis J, Angela M, Andrej K, Hajin J, Eric H, and Maria A — who honestly shared how God’s grace has worked in their lives. Their stories deeply encouraged and inspired us to grow as disciples of Jesus in our generation.
Finally, we thank all the members who served with their time, prayer, and energy in every part of the conference preparation and administration. May God continue to bless each of us to build our lives on Christ, the cornerstone, and to live out our calling as His chosen people who declare His wonderful light to the world.
