God richly blessed the funeral service for missionary Joshua Myeong in Heidelberg on March 12, 2026. It was filled with comfort, love, and grace — even the weather cooperated. The funeral chapel was well-filled. Many came from most of the German UBF chapters, and Missionary Hannah and David Shin visited from Prague. Missionary Gloria and her son Titus were emotional, but comforted by others. Reiner delivered a moving sermon on John 11:25–26, proclaiming that Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Afterwards, we went to the grave, sang resurrection hymns, and prayed. We experienced the glory of those who die in the Lord.

At the UBF Center, several people shared their memories of Joshua Myeong. Born in March 1976, Joshua Myeong grew up in a fishing family. He entered a university in 1995 in Seoul and studied electrical engineering. In his first semester, he began studying the Bible and encounted Jesus personally. In 2005, he founded a house church. God blessed his life and filled it with His fragrance.
Many testified that he loved to sing, worked quietly behind the scenes, had a good relationship with his sons, loved his wife, and was such an excellent soccer player that it was difficult to take the ball from him. In the memorial video, we saw many facets of his life—his singing, his music, and his faithful service. He died like a grain of wheat, so that his love for students in Germany and around the world might bring forth many seeds.
Please pray for missionary Gloria and Luke, Philip and Titus. Pray that the Heavenly Father and the Good Shepherd Jesus may be with them and that they may lack nothing (Psalm 23). Amen!
