(NORTH AMERICA) Chicago UBF Ordains David Won and Moody as Pastors

Chicago UBF celebrated the pastoral ordination of David Won and Moody S. on August 1 at the Chicago UBF Sanctuary. The service brought together pastors, ministry leaders, mentors, friends, and church members to celebrate God’s calling and pray for the two candidates. The ordination service included testimonies from those who had been blessed through David and Moody’s ministries, followed by personal testimonies from the candidates about God’s calling in their lives.
Dr. Ezra Cho delivered the ordination message based on 2 Timothy 2:15, “The Approved Worker of God’s Word.” He emphasized the importance of faithfully handling God’s Word and serving as trustworthy workers for the Lord. Pastor Ron Ward led the formal examination and commissioning. Mentors, friends, and pastors also prayed for the candidates, asking God to give them wisdom, faith, humility, and strength for their pastoral ministry. The two candidates were then consecrated through the laying on of hands by ordained pastors and officially commissioned as pastors.
The service concluded with a blessing from the two new pastors and the congregation singing “So Send I You by Grace Made Strong.” A reception and dinner followed, giving the church community an opportunity to celebrate this significant occasion together. Chicago UBF gives thanks to God for raising up David Won and Moody S. as pastors and prays that God will use them to faithfully proclaim His Word, shepherd His people, and bless many through their ministry.
