Chicago UBF joyfully celebrated the inauguration of Pastor Ron Ward on August 15, marking the beginning of his second term as UBF General Director. The service was a meaningful time of thanksgiving, prayer, and renewed commitment to God’s mission through UBF worldwide.
In his inaugural address, “Be Shepherds of God’s Flock,” from 1 Peter 5:2, Pastor Ron shared his pastoral heart and direction for the next four years. He reflected on God’s gracious work during his first term: strengthening unity, fostering spiritual revival, and deepening biblical education within UBF. He called the church to follow Jesus, the Good Shepherd, by caring for God’s people personally, sacrificially, and humbly. His message encouraged all UBF chapters to cultivate a shepherd’s heart for young people, offering guidance, hope, and spiritual mentorship as they navigate life and faith.
The celebration concluded with a special time of prayer for Pastor Ron, led by Pastor David Kim, Dr. Joe Wert, Pastor Mark Vucekovich, and Dr. Abraham Kim. Together, the community committed to supporting the General Director with prayer and partnership as UBF continues its mission to raise disciples of Jesus around the world.
