(CZECH REPUBLIC) A Historic Wedding in Prague: Daniel and Somang Grecman

By Hannah Shin

On March 28, by God’s grace, second generation missionary Somang Kang and Daniel Grecman were married in Prague. Their wedding was the first historic wedding among the next generation of Czech UBF. We are grateful to the many friends, family members, and guests who traveled from Korea and across Europe—including Germany, France, Poland, Bulgaria, and Ukraine—to celebrate and support this joyful occasion.

The ceremony was officiated by Hannah Shin, based on 1 Corinthians 13:13, with a message encouraging the couple to build their marriage on faith, hope, and love, and to serve one another and the people of Czech Republic with the love of Jesus.

It was especially meaningful that around 50 friends from Charles University Law School attended. Many of Daniel’s friends shared how they had never experienced a wedding so beautiful and moving. During the ceremony, heartfelt letters were shared by Somang’s father, Josua Kang, and Daniel’s mother. Their words deeply touched many in attendance.

We are thankful for all the love, support, and prayers surrounding this couple, and we hope their new family will be a blessing and used by God to minister to many Czech university students.
