First, 'The Lord is robed in majesty' (1-2). The Lord God is the Sovereign Ruler of all creation. He defines majesty: the awe-inspiring greatness of the one on the throne. He is worthy of all our praise and worship. Not only ours, but all creation past and present, as he is eternally the Lord. Second, 'the LORD on high is mighty' (3-5). The seas are deep mystery and power, able to churn and charge and destroy. Yet they lift up their powerful waves, crashing down in submission and fealty to the Lord God Almighty. There is no power or terror that can shake those who trust in him. We find security in his statutes, the Bible, which stand firm. All his power and might are used for his holy purpose. He demonstrates his power in raising Jesus from the dead, proving the forgiving grace of the gospel and our life in him. What a wonderful Savior we serve!
Prayer: Father, you are the Eternal Ruler. Please come and reign in my heart with your peace.
One Word: The Lord Reigns
