By God's grace, we had a beautiful fall conference at "Haus Friede" (House of Peace), Hattingen.  We received God's word from John's gospel with the topic "Come and See."  Coworkers from Koeln II and Dusseldorf I UBF joined us.

Jesus' word from Jn. 9:3 helped me realize that the work of God may be displayed in my life and in everyone's life under all circumstances.  I need to have Jesus' prayerful shepherd heart and his practical overcoming spirit.

We studied 4 lectures in groups and heard messages from 4 young shepherds plus one seasoned missionary: Jan Winand (Jn. 1:35-51), Rene Richelshagen (Jn 9), Ulrike Gross (Jn. 13), Paul Youk (Jn. 21), and Daniel Park (Jn. 8:31-32).  I was amazed to find all messengers well prepared, prayerfully and powerfully delivering God's word as a living word to our generation.  In this way, everyone could open their hearts to thank God for his works and providence, to repent of their sins, and to accept his calling whether for the first time or anew.  We pray for our young generation as well as for Bible students like Sergey, Krystian, Patrick, Matthias.

Presently, our Wuppertal fellowship is growing both in number and in spirit.  Shp. Paul and M. Sarah S. Youk have been supporting the Bible study and worship service there, overcoming the 40 mile distance.  In December, Sarah is expecting their second child, and they intend to move to Wuppertal early in 2012.

Koeln I will finish the study of Matthew's gospel this month after almost 2 years.  We are very grateful for our five lecturers, Rainer Wieland, Michael Pohl, Eberhard Gross, Knut Rohrmoser, and myself as well as for the support of senior missionaries through Bible workshops.  These workshops are a fruit of Dr. Mark Yang's continuous service to our minstry.

We intend to have our Christmas worship service on December 18 with God's word from Luke 1:57-80.  We pray to invite our pioneering chapters as well as many students and family members, everyone longing for peace with God.

We are grateful for your wholehearted service for our Lord in and through this ministry.  God bless you with the Holy spirit's power to unite all coworkers in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ who gave himself for us.  God grant you good health, esp. in the face of the upcoming regional conferences across the world.

Looking forward to meeting you soon!
In Jesus' love,
Walter
