1. Our righteousness (21-25) How has God acted? What is the reason behind his deliverance? David says that the Lord has dealt with him and rewarded him because of his righteousness. David says, "I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin." What? Is David suffering from acute memory loss? He committed adultery and murder! The reason David could claim this was the Lord had taken away his sin in the same way that he has taken away ours. God has made us righteous in Christ and he deals with us based on the righteousness we have received. How wonderful is the amazing grace of God! 2. God's help (26-3 ) God has made us faithful, blameless, and pure and these are the ways in which he responds to us. David says that God saves the humble but brings the haughty low. The less we think of ourselves, the more God can work in our lives. David also says, "You, Lord, are my lamp." David had spent his share of time hiding in dark caves where nothing could be seen. He knew what it meant to live in darkness. God's word illuminates our lives by giving us truth, direction, and hope. With God's help, we can overcome all the obstacles of life and serve his kingdom.

Prayer: Father, thank you for our righteousness in Christ.

One Word: God has rewarded me
