Thank God for blessing the 2014 South Sudan Bible conference that was held on Oct.31 to Nov.2, 2014. Fifty people attended the conference as well as Missionaries Andrew & Hope Kim from Cairo, Egypt.

M. Andrew Kim delivered opening message with the title, "The Real Disciple of Jesus". The first main message was delivered by Sh. Johnson Deng, “The Lamb of God," based on Isaiah 52: 13-53:12. The second main message was delivered by Sh. Elia Peter based on Luke 23: 26-34, "Jesus’ Forgiving Love". The third main message was delivered by Dr. Oyor Moses bases on 2 Corinthians 5: 12 – 6: 2, "Ambassadors of Christ". The fourth main message was delivered by Shs. Rose Peter based on 1 Peter 2: 4-10, "You are Chosen People".  The closing message which was also Sunday message was delivered by Sh. Padiet Deng based on Matthew 28: 16-20, "The Great Commission". Two morning devotions were delivered by Shs. Adau Mongtuel and Sh. Saied Moses: "Neither Do I Condemn You" John 8: 1-12 and “Feed My Sheep" from John 21:  1-30 respectively.

In this conference we accepted our new identity as “ambassadors of Christ”  to teach the forgiving love of Jesus to our communities which are suffering from tribal conflicts and war until the people of South Sudan are reconciled to God and to one another.

Through testimonies most of the people confessed their sin of an unforgiving heart. Moved by the word of God, ten new students decided to join our Bible studies every week.

In this conference God blessed us to raise two new leader candidates: Motong Chol and Hanan Sabet. May God bless them to grow as faithful disciples of Jesus and excellent Bible teachers.

We also thank God for Korea UBF. This year Korea UBF paid the school fees for 53 poor South Sudanese students of University of Juba. Moreover, Korea UBF provided relief (food items) to more than 800 families that came from war affected areas of South Sudan. We really thank them for their heartfelt support and prayer.

Our prayer topics:

  1. Peace in South Sudan
  2. Building our center as soon as possible.
  3. To get a hall in Juba University for Bible study.
  4. To establish 3 house churches within two years.
  5. Raise Jesus' disciples continuously in our ministry.
  6.  May God help me to get a position in HQ office in Juba instead of in the field.
  7. 30 1:1 Bible studies & SWS attendance.

All leaders to have a strong desire and zeal for God’s work.
