"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." (2Timothy 2:15)

"'I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.'" (John 10:11)

On January 14th, 2011, the Montreal ministry held a shepherd declaration ceremony where 9 students (Véronique, Nicolas, Jia, Rita, Alexei, Jason, Luke Jr., Marcel, and Michelle) were designated as Bible teachers. Our Bible students expressed their desire to grow as Jesus' disciples for campus students with the goal of becoming good Bible teachers. Misn. Luke Hong gave the opening address based on 2Timothy 2:15, where Apostle Paul encouraged young Timothy to present himself as a workman of God who correctly handles the word of truth in the Bible. Based on this encouragement, each student made a personal confession to commit themselves as Bible teachers by learning from Jesus' example as a good shepherd for the flock of God who laid down his life for the sheep. (Jn 10:11) They accepted to be trained through the study of key books in the Bible (e.g. Genesis, John, Romans) in order to prepare themselves as Bible teachers for campus students. Afterward, each student shared their personal testimonies which specifically answered the following questions:

i) What does Jesus mean to me?
ii) What personal grace of God did I receive?
iii) What does it mean to be a shepherd (i.e. a Bible teacher)?

Afterwards, they signed and received their certificate of declaration, while each elder prayed for each of them to grow as disciples of Jesus and to be used for campus mission in our generation.

May God's grace be with you.
