My mother is dwelling in the house of the Lord forever

Last Saturday, my mother passed away. I thank God for his gracious work in her that she could love God's word and prayed for his children.  She left a notebook in which she wrote the whole Matthew's gospel by hand. She circled Mt 7:7-11 and wrote a note 'pray' next to it. By God's grace she was changed into a mother of prayer. She has been a good prayer coworker and a supporter for my family and for God's servants. I pray that she may dwell in the house of God forever (Psalm 23: 6b)

By God's grace, I could spend time with my mother about two weeks at home and two weeks in the hospital, before she left. I pray for my father and the rest of the family to rust in God's goodness and love and live with a living hope in the kingdom of God.

May God enable us to believe in Jesus, the resurrection and the life and serve him all the days of our lives. God be with you!

In Christ,
Mary Cowen
