When I watch over M. I.L. in the mission field, he reminds me of General McArthur’s famous words, “Old soldiers never die. They just fade away.”. He reported, “Despite the heat of the summer, our program (teaching English/Korean) is going well with fun. In particular, we have great expectations for the language camp starting tomorrow (July 22nd) for 5 days and 4 nights for which 20 college students and some volunteer faculty members will come from CB National University in Korea along with 60 students from OS. We expect good results.

A few days ago, there was a big earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 at a distance of 200 km from OS. However, it didn’t affect OS much, even though we woke up in the middle of the night around 1:40 a.m. and got out of the apartment due to vibrations from the earthquake.

The summer program will continue up to the second week of August. We really want to run this kind of program every year without fail. Most of all, we could have great confidence that many more students will come to our summer program next year because all the students who attended felt how good and necessary the program was for them.”
