It has been a month since I came back from Korea. It was my first time after 10 years, and I saw that Korea has changed a lot. Even the little towns and the streets were very nice and it did not look like a town anymore. After serving in a small Latin American country, Honduras, for 10 years, I became a peasant, and I was amazed at the tall buildings. My sons, who visited Korea for the first time, were amazed and learned many things about Korea.

When I came back to Honduras, I felt at home and I am fighting the spiritual battle working with M. Elisabeth to carry out the mission as tent-maker missionaries.

The problem of insecurity is becoming an issue in Honduras. Not many days ago, they found a submarine with a great quantity of drugs in it along with a small plane with drugs. Last week, my wife saw someone being killed with guns while she was walking to her car after closing the store at 9pm. The killers left freely. These kinds of things have become something ordinary and common. I pray that God may protect our lives so we may testify to the gospel to the end.

Last week, we had a two-day conference during Saturday and Sunday.

In spite of the short time to prepare the conference, because there was only two weeks of vacation, we challenged the invitation by faith. When I heard from sheep that they could not come to worship service or the meeting because they had no money, I was sad and annoyed. I think that Korean students during the 60’s were similar. May be sheep think that they are poor and we must help them. Anyways, we brought sheep to the conference site as our five loaves. We helped sheep to prepare duo-drama, worship songs and life testimony for the gospel feast, and we took some prepared food for the conference.

We were 14 people in total, including Henry, Siomita and his two brothers, Cecil, Juan Carlos, Nelly and his brother, Ana Lucia and her family of 5 members. The opening message was served by M. Elisabeth with the word of Luke 5, “Jesus called Levi, a Tax Collector”. Sister Nelly and Brother Juan Carlos served the duo-drama based on this word. Then M. David served the message in the afternoon with the word of John 8, “Neither do I Condemn You.” B. Henry and S. Cecil served the duo-drama. In the evening we had time to share talents and life testimony. S. Ana Lucia prepared a gospel song and life testimony. The Sunday worship service message was delivered gracefully by a missionary that has been working in the mountains for 10 years. He is from the same town as me and his message was about Jesus who healed a blind man based on John 9.

This conference was possible because of the help of everyone. Sheep have been studying Bible around 6 months, and they obeyed the directions we gave them, even when they did not know what a conference was. I pray that they may get to know the spiritual world through the word and knowing Jesus personally. In this way, I pray that they may be established as disciples of Jesus.

We also pray that God may let us have a Bible center nearer to the university.
