From this coming November, Zimbabwe University decided to open a Korean class.  I will teach beginner classes that will last for 8 weeks.  As a result we will apply for permanent visas.  Thank God!  Last week, I prepared several documents that were necessary to apply for a long-term visa in order that we can work as a Bible teacher in UBF Zimbabwe. We were sent out from UBF Korea and were invited by UBF Zimbabwe.

Jesus bore all temptation for us who were harassed by Satan. He give us victory. We give all thanks and praise to God for blessing us so that our lives may become pleasing to God. According to Genesis 3, Zimbabwe, like all men, disobey God and we pray for them with a broken heart. Adam was tempted despite living in a perfect environment. Jesus won the victory although he was hungry and exhausted in the desert. So we learn that hard circumstances do not matter. I thank God who helped us to plant faith and the words of God with hope in Zimbabwe.

First, God planted a living hope and faith in Shepherdess Sphe. Sh weas living in a poor environment, and we prayed together for her to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness. She began to be filled with joy, and she sincerely gave an offering of $20 along with her thanksgiving and prayer topics. A typical salary in Zimbabwe is about $200 per month. Shepherdess Sphe is studying the Bible with one student every Monday.

Second, Shepherd Tinago, who has the first house-church of our chapter, attends the Sunday worship service every week with his three children. Both he and his wife graduated from college; one is a teacher, and the other a veterinarian. However, because of a modest salary, they can’t afford their monthly house payment of $500, so they built a house on the mountain and there they live with their children. Last Saturday, we visited their home and had fellowship with them. We decided to study the Bible with his wife every Friday.

Now, there are twenty brothers attending the Sunday worship service. We are continually trying to invite sister sheep because there are only two of them in the chapter.

Prayer Topics

First, may God build up a number of beautiful house churches in Africa, and Africa may become a source of blessing.
Second, may we be filled with God’s heart and his vision towards this nation.
Third, please pray for Shepherd Moses Kim from HanYang UBF to share the grace of God this Founder’s Day.
