“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” -  Isaiah 9:6

We give many thanks to God for his great love that gave us peace as a gift. We give many thanks to God because he gave us his Son to govern us with peace and love as our Everlasting Father and Wonderful Counselor.

We had our Christmas service last Sunday, December 18 . God gave us his word from Isaiah 9:1-7, “For to us a child is born,” through M. Isidro. We repented for starting the dance and drama practice late as the leaders did not have much time because of  school or work. However, we prayed anxiously for the message to be the main cause of joy rather than other things.

We prayed for 30 people to participate, but by the grace of God, he allowed us to be 40. Thank God that the invited guests were happy, saying they liked the message. Also they liked the praise music. The students that participated for the first time were,Jennifer, Mabeli, Edward, Rose Mary, Karina, Maria Fernanda, Brian, Gerber, Rose, Raphael, and Frank.

After the message was presented, praises were made through M. Ana on the piano and Isaac on the viola. Then Isaac and María Fernanda played two melodies on the viola (María Fernanda is a musician friend of Isaac).

Then there was a Hungarian dance in which the participants were Juan Carlos, Alex, Edwin, Aida, Engie, and Norma. Juan, M. Raúl, Edwin, Isaac, Aida, Engie, and Norma participated in the Salvadoran dance. The drama actors were Juan C., Edward, Alex, Aida, and Seneyda. Then we ate delicious Salvadoran, Korean, and Mexican food together.

We thank God for the good co-working with Bible students, Alex, Norma, and Edwin, and leaders - they supported us with their whole hearts in spite of being so busy.

We pray that God may bless his history in the worldwide mission field and that the Christ-child be born in many young people's hearts all over the world.

El Salvador UBF thanks you!  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

In Christ,
M.Edith
