Jesus: Alive

“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20:31)

At UIC we have been praying to strengthen the pillars of our ministry. We are holding on to Ephesians 4:12-13, to equip God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. As we approached Easter season, we wanted to celebrate what God has done through the gospel of Jesus Christ. To build up house churches, and support teams, ten families were chosen to lead dynamic group Bible studies for the Easter conference. They prepared for more than one month, studying Gospel Key Verses, John 19 and 20, meeting their groups, and serving them dinner. For 3 weeks, we held Easter prayer meetings, organized by the elders. God blessed this preparation. The program was light, but gave lots of time for reflection, fellowship and prayer. God blessed this conference by renewing our faith in Jesus’ death for our sins, and advancing our relationship with Jesus, who is Alive and involved in our lives today. Five young students accepted Jesus’ death for their sins for the first time. We pray to follow up all the attendants with prayer and Bible study, especially in this last month of the semester.
