Dr. James is currently going through the fourth cycle of chemotherapy. To prevent chemotherapy side effects, he is getting a large volume of fluids. However, he is not making enough urine to get rid of the fluids and his body is becoming puffy. His general condition is good, but he needs your prayer support for his urine output.

Based on Mark 16:18, "They will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well,” we pray that the anti-cancer drugs may selectively target the cancer cells only so that his normal cells may not be damaged. We also pray that his immune system may sustain him well enough to avoid serious complications such as pneumonia. We are holding on to 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus,” to fight the spiritual battle to overcome this situation with rejoicing, thanksgiving, and prayer.  We pray that all the cancer cells may disappear and Dr. James may be cured from his cancer through this fourth cycle of treatment.

Dr. James will need treatment direction after the fourth cycle to determine whether he will get an originally planned autograft bone marrow transplant, more chemotherapy, or ends chemotherapy. We need to pray for the best treatment decision for Dr. James. We thank God for answering the prayers of his servants all around the world for Dr. James and also thank you for your labor of love.

Here is a summary of prayer topics for Dr. James:

1. All cancer cells may disappear through the fourth cycle of chemotherapy and God may provide the next best treatment option.

2. The anti-cancer drugs may target only the cancer cells so that Dr. James’ normal cells and organs may be protected (Mark 16:18).

3. Dr. James may have a good urine output.

4. Fight the spiritual battle with rejoicing, prayer and thanksgiving based on 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Love in Christ, Dr. Il-Gi Hong
