Yonhee UBF Spring Conferences, May 12-13

1.  Chapter I

Yonhee I UBF had a spring conference at the Mt. Carmel conference site with the title, “I Am the Resurrection and the Life.” Eighty-four people attended. Joseph Kim delivered the opening message on Luke 7, “Young Man, Get Up!” He was full of the Holy Spirit. He preached that only the power of Jesus’ word raises the dead to life.

Chun Ki Hyun delivered the main message on Mark 5, “Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe.” He didn’t have enough time to prepare the message due to his heavy workload. But he cried out to God like Jairus. He spoke the word of God with tears and touched people’s hearts. Hwang Chan Woong shared his life testimony.

Dr. Paul Ho delivered the morning message on John 5 with the title, “Get Up and Walk.” He served Seo Kang University students with the hope to raise them as disciples of Jesus. But they only enjoyed his favor and had no commitment. Through his message, he accepted Jesus’ word, “Get up and walk,” and decided to serve campus students with patience.

Han Kyu Jung delivered the second main message on John 11 with the title, “I Am the Resurrection and the Life.” He was crushed by the heavy demand of work, but he came to Jesus through early morning prayer. God gave him victory with his resurrection power. His message was powerful.

The conference was full of resurrection power. We shared the following prayer topics:

1) Come to Jesus early in the morning

2) Serve one person who is under the power of death

3) Invite 100 people to the summer conference

2.  Chapter II

Yonhee II UBF had their conference at Shalom Youth Hostel. Seventy-two people attended.  We prepared with prayer and Bible memorization.

Kim Ki Wook delivered on Mark 5, “Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe,” and Hong Soon Sung delivered on John 11, “I Am the Resurrection and the Life,” as main messages. Jeon Woo Hyung delivered the opening message on Luke 7, “Young Man, Get Up!” Kim Ki Wook prepared his message with an exceptional heart because he cried out to God for many days. His message was full of joy. Hong Soon Sung lost his job and was unemployed for one year, so he was very discouraged. But he was touched by Jesus’ word, “Have faith in God,” and decided to believe in God’s word. God granted him a new job. With a new heart, he is serving Song Do campus pioneering work.

Jeon Woo Hyung was hard pressed by his graduate studies. He couldn’t take care of God’s flock well either. But he came to God early in the morning. God gave him strength to persist in his studies and take care of God’s flock.

3.  Pioneer & Ewha chapters

The Pioneer and Ewha chapters of Yonhee UBF had their spring conference at Ban Suk Prayer Mountain. Lee Sun Young delivered the opening message on Luke 7, “Young Man, Get Up.” Kim Chul Jin delivered the main message on Mark 5, “Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe.” He became fearful when his PhD advisor gave him several negative comments on his paper. But he decided to overcome fear and persist in his PhD study. Lee Ju Young delivered the second main message on John 11, “I Am the Resurrection and the Life.” Two years ago, his mother became unconscious and his job situation was unstable. But he challenged his inner fear with faith and completed his PhD and was hired by the National Health Center. His victorious testimony was a great encouragement to many.

4. Chapter V

Yon Hee V UBF had their spring conference at the Bul Kwang Dong conference site. Twenty-four people attended. James Won delivered an opening message on John 4, Dong Hee Lee delivered the main message on John 5, and Jin Soo Bae delivered the second main message on John 9. Song Dong Woo delivered the morning message on the second part of John 4.
