On June 9, 2012, the National Mission Coordinators and Staff Conference was held at the late Dr. Samuel Lee’s Memorial Hall in the Korea UBF Headquarters for the preparation of the coming three African regional Bible conferences.  A total of 72 coordinators and staff members attended from nationwide.

David Kim, Korea UBF General Director, gave us a very powerful and clear opening message based on Isaiah 54:1-3. It gave us assurance that God will surely bless us and use us again when we all enlarge the place of our tent with God’s hope and vision, overcoming our reality and strengthening our stakes through absolute obedience to the words of God.

After the opening message, we had a special lecture by Dr. Dong Jin Cho, who can be called a pioneer of Korea evangelism, titled, "The Apostolic DNA of Early Korea evangelism," which was very precious and challenging to us. Dr. Cho divided the mission period into two parts, the period of mission with apostolic DNA and the period of the emperor church. He said that when we had the apostolic DNA, God was pleased. Therefore, he emphasized the revival of the apostolic DNA as in the early Korea evangelical period. Otherwise, we also can be in a danger of becoming like the European churches. He gave us a strict warning.

Afterwards, we divided into six groups and had group Bible study on “How Beautiful Are the Feet of Those Who Bring Good News!” based on Romans 10:1-15.  It was a long awaited group study and a very valuable time of sharing God’s grace. Through this group Bible study, we all made a decision not to just enjoy the grace of the gospel, but be a vanguard of God’s mission, putting on God’s desire. We shared successful cases of preaching the gospel of Jesus center by center, which was a great encouragement and challenge at the same time.

Shortly thereafter, Moses Yoon, the head of the Mission Department, explained the importance of the three African regional Bible conferences, giving a brief African mission history. We closed the gracious meeting with united prayer. I pray that God may use very preciously our mission coordinators and staff as vanguards for spreading the gospel of Jesus in each chapter. I also pray that we may pray a lot for our missionaries in Africa who have beautiful feet in bringing good news and for the upcoming three African regional Bible conferences.
