Greetings from Uganda!

Here in Kampala, we are studying John's gospel. Dr. Luke Lim, Shp. Patrick Ogwang, Shp. Steven, Shp. Allan, Msn. David, Shp. Abraham, Shp. Albert, Shp. Kennedy are the messengers. Please pray for our John’s gospel study.

Dr. Luke and Rebekah Lim have been continually serving Makerere University students and Bethesda clinic. Dr. Luke Lim especially works very hard serving as a Sunday messenger, morning devotion messenger, Group Bible study leader for the leader’s meeting, fellowship leader and managing doctor at Bethesda. Please continually pray for him to serve the regional conference and the ministry of God in Uganda. Please also pray for the resumption of the construction work for the mission hospital.

Dr. Samuel and Mary Yoo pioneered Kyambogo University in 2007 (pronounced Chyambogo). Now there are five shepherds and four shepherdesses there. Currently, Kyambogo and Makerere ministries have joined together to prepare for the African Regional conference.

Dr. Joseph and Esther Chung give their hearts for one to one ministry. Msn. Esther Chung is serving as my 1:1 Bible teacher. She is very compassionate and witty. I enjoy our Romans Bible study together. Although Dr. Joseph has more than 10 Bible students who he meets faithfully every week, he continually goes fishing on campus to find more sheep. He says that he is busier here in Uganda than he was in Chicago! Please pray for Msn. Joseph and Esther Chung’s health and strength here in Uganda.

By the grace of God, I came here and spent one month already. Dr. Luke Lim found proper roles for me to participate in the ministry. I attend the morning prayers and I became one of messengers. Also I join leaders' group Bible study and the Jireh fellowship. I am leading CBF ministry with several children. I pray for each child to grow through Bible study and accept the word of God. Last week, I visited a remote area with Dr. Luke and Dr. Park where no hospitals or doctors are accessible. Over 200 people received medical care and over 400 people received the gospel through our medical outreach. The work of God is going on in Africa!

The title of the upcoming African Regional conference is “You will be my witnesses” based on Acts 1:8. From Kampala, Sh. Steven Sebale (my fellowship leader), Julius Ecuru and Dr. Joseph are preparing their messages and the shepherds are preparing a Ugandan dance. We are praying to serve as hosts for the 150 attendants. May God’s glory be revealed through this conference.

Please pray for me to support the regional conference and serve the ministry while I stay here. Thank you!
