Chongro 7 UBF & Suwon UBF (South Korea)

From July 20-23, the united summer Bible conference of Jongro 7 and Suwon UBF took place at Petra Prayer House, in Kanghwa. The main characteristics of this conference are as follows:
 
First, all the lay shepherds served the conference wholeheartedly. The preparation committee was was made up of five members and they helped the conference messengers. Including the committee members all the lay shepherds supported the messengers through duet dramas. Through this, lay shepherds came to have stronger stewardship in serving God's ministry.
 
Second, messengers delivered in-depth messages. At this conference the spiritual advancement of each messenger was evident. Sh. Jae-young Choi delivered a message with a fresh and new style that is more appropriate for the newcomers. Sh. In-bae Hwang challenged the materialism of this generation. In the past he was just like a foolish rich man in the Bible. But through God's training he became a wise man. Sh. Sanghoon Kwak delivered a heart-moving message. Sh. Dae-gun Jung revealed the devil's work and taught us how to overcome the devil's work. Sh. Self-denial Park delivered the cross of Jesus with tears. He deeply repented of his sins before Jesus. Sh. John Oh delivered 1 Cor. 15 with resurrection faith. Sh. Gideon Park delivered Jn. 21. He confessed with tears that he would love Jesus more than his own career.
 
Third, leader-candidates were raised up. Sister Se-mi Lee(senior, Chinese Dept., HUFS), Youn Gyo Kim(sophomore, Chinese Dept., HUFS), Anna Nah(teacher at a Day-care center) wrote 50 pages of life testimony. They shortened 50 pages to three and shared them with the attendants. In addition Brother Juyeop Kim(junior, economics Dept., HUFS), Kyoung-chan Kim(high school student), Sunjoo Hwang (sophomore, English Dept. Ah-joo Uni.) Sung-min Im(graduated from Nam Seoul Uni.) shared their testimonies. Each of them made personal decisions of faith to live for Christ and for the gospel.
 
Fourth, we gained new coworkers through this conference. Pastor Jin-haeng Lee and Dong-geun Kim(husband of Shs. Jeong-eun Kim) attended the conference. We pray that they may become good co-workers.
 
Fifth, newcomers accepted one word in their hearts. Brother Hyun-woo Kim(English literature, HUFS) was fished just a few days before the conference by Shs. Grace Kim and attended the conference. Brother Seung-chan Kim won the top prize at the gospel song contest. He also accepted one word deeply in his heart. He is now preparing to enter a university next year.
 
Sixth, there was a beautiful love relationship between Suwon and Jongro 7. At this conference we had a time of fellowship at the beach, playing several games. We had a joint group Bible study. Through this shepherds and newcomers came to have a chance to know each other more personally.
