But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'  1 Peter 1:15-16,

Dear coworkers and family in Christ,

On July 20-22, 18 people from Raleigh UBF, Atlanta UBF, and Knoxville UBF gathered for a retreat in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We studied 1 Peter with the theme “Have a Holy Attitude” based on the key verses 1 Peter 1:15-16, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'”

Messages were given by Msn. Wesley Yun and Andrew Lamb of Atlanta UBF, and by Andrew Dellinger and Msn. Joseph Ryu of Raleigh UBF. Through the messages and Bible studies, we learned the roots of a holy attitude--prayer, setting apart Christ as Lord, God's call to be a holy priesthood and nation, and remembering our redemption through Jesus' precious blood. Throughout the conference, attendees wrote literally one word (e.g. love, honor, harmony, self-control, mercy) they learned on a leaf and added it to the tree we used as a backdrop. In this way we worked together to learn what a holy attitude entails.

Our small ministries were mutually encouraged by our time together. We pray to have a holy attitude to shine as lights into the world, especially onto our campuses as we soon begin Fall ministry.

Sincerely,
Andrew and Heather Dellinger
