IPN UBF, Mexico

December 8, 2012

On Nov. 4, Mexico IPN UBF had a discipleship conference at the center with 8 members. The main message was delivered by Sh. Daniel (Urban Eng. Grad. 1) with the title, “Feed My Sheep” based on John 21:1-15. For 2 years he went fishing, but all of the sheep left.  Still, he kept his faith, fought a good fight of faith and grew as a good coworker.  He also loves God’s word and has finished reading the entire Bible twice.  Recently, the Lord sent him Hugo (Electrical Communications 1), a faithful Bible student.

Through the message, “Feed My Sheep,” the leaders began to have desire to feed Jesus’ sheep.  The opening message, “You Are the Christ” (Mark 8:27-34) was delivered very well by a junior shepherd, Alexander (Urban Eng. 4). We could receive newly that Jesus is the only Savior worthy of our worship. Especially, two new sheep, Hugo and Alejandro, came to realize the love of Jesus a little more personally. In the evening Alejandro (Petroleum Eng. 4) delivered a message, entitled, “A Mighty Warrior” (Jdg 6:1-16). He grew up under the care of a single mother and experienced many wounds having been despised by people. As a result, he was deeply hurt and cried easily. However, through the spiritual training of the last two years, his inner man became stronger and he is growing as a man of independent spirit and faith. While studying and working, he served the work of God at our Bible center in various ways.

Also, the life testimonies of junior shepherds Daniel and Alejandro blessed us very much. Three leaders served messages, representative prayers, presiding and announcement by faith. Group Bible study, testimony writing and sharing as well as lunch and dinner also made our conference abundant both spiritually and physically. We pray that God may grow Daniel, Alexander and Alejandro continuously as good shepherds for Jesus’ sheep. Hugo and Alejandro come regularly to Bible study and Sunday service. We pray that they may have a personal encounter with Jesus and grow as his disciples.

Prayer topics of IPN UBF are as follows:
  1. Alejandro and Alexander may grow as shepherds; Elizabeth may grow as a junior shepherdess.
  2. Five new sheep may come to Sunday service and five members may attend the Easter conference.
  3. 20 shepherds and 10 house churches to be raised by 2020.
  4. Study of Genesis and Matthew’s Gospel
