Bishkek is the capital city of the Kyrgyz Republic, where Dr. J.J. first visited for CIS East and Central Asia CME ministry. Seven years ago one missionary family (M & R) pioneered one chapter here and a shepherdess (J) is now growing as a leader, and five to six sheep are attending the Sunday worship service. 

 

On April 5-8, there was Bible study over three lectures based on Ephesians. On April 7, Dr. J. J. served the Sunday worship service and delivered a message entitled: “Spiritual Blessings which belong to Heaven” through which Dr. J.J. powerfully and lively testified that the Apostle Paul who was in a prison of Rome could praise and be thankful because he daily renewed God’s calling as a missionary with conviction. This included remembering God’s saving grace through the blood of Jesus and the living hope for the inheritance of the kingdom of God. Therefore, he testified: “let’s maintain our passion for God’s mission and God’s saving grace like a modern automatic boiler system.” That night, our missionaries received the words of God deeply and shared their reflections based on the message with many tears, full of God’s grace.  

 

On April 9, there was a lecture entitled: “Spiritual Education for Children” by Dr. J.J. The theme was how to spiritually raise our children uprightly based on the words of God. After the lecture, the missionaries shared their practical difficulties caring for their children that they face in the mission field and had a very instructive discussion time with Dr. J.J., who counseled them with the words of God and many practical examples. Afterwards, remembering God’s saving grace, we all had a ceremonial 'Lord's Supper' and we could remember  the spiritual meaning of shedding his holy blood and ripping his flesh in order to save sinners and forgive our sins.

 

Dr. J.J. wholeheartedly served the message and the group Bible study like serving several hundred of people even though there was only one family.

   spiritual refreshment.
