Zimbabwe UBF

April 30, 2013

Zimbabwe UBF held an autumn conference April 12-14. We prayed to have 90 attendants; God graciously answered our prayers and 90 people attended including some who attended partially. Especially, in Oliver’s fellowship, Missionary Samuel Lee, invited a lot of students from his Korean language course.

All four messages were very touching and heart moving. “Young man, get up!” (Lk 7:11-17) was delivered by Tatenda. He challenged us to get up from the coffin of despair and hopelessness. Simusos testified that he was sorrowful when his mother passed away last year but he could hear Jesus’ comforting voice, “Don’t cry,” God helped him when he was involved in a car accident, it overturned several times, but he was the last person who came out without a serious injury. “Zacchaeus, come down”, (Lk 19:1-10) was by Tapiwa. He lived like Zacchaeus but he has decided to follow Jesus and become a medical doctor and shepherd. Tari and Brighton witnessed how Jesus invited them to be with their lives. “Put out into deep water,” was by Mpumelelo. He could experience God’s help when he obeyed Matt 6:33. He prays to have a clear direction after graduation. Sister Esther witnessed how she became a Bible teacher and how she has five one to one's as a fisher of man. “Feed my sheep” (Jn 21:1-17) was by Obet.  Onward shared his testimony. Jesus loves us so much and we prayed to feed campus sheep based on the love of God. We are praying to raise faithful shepherds through our ministry.

After the conference, we had an athletic day at the University of Zimbabwe on April 18 (33rd Zimbabwe Independence day).  We divided into two groups and ran races against each other. All brothers and sisters were very active and all participated in running events very energetically to win.

Please pray for us to raise faithful shepherds for Emmanuel team, Sarah team, and medical students. This year seven brothers are going to graduate, and we pray that they may be remnants of God’s work. I pray that God may bless our Genesis study abundantly.

Thank you.
