Dr. Helen Rarick Received a Distinguished Professor Award

During the Spring semester Dr. Helen Rarick, Associate Professor of Biology at Wright College in Chicago, was awarded the 2013 Distinguished Service Professor Award. This award is awarded to the professor with the highest credentials in five areas – Teaching Excellence, Professionalism, Service to Students, Service to the College and Community Service.   It is the most prestigious award at the college. To receive this award, Dr. Helen had to be nominated by other professors and chosen by a committee consisting of the Vice-president, Dean, Associate Dean and three professors. In addition, she was nominated by students and received another award this semester: the Golden Apple Teaching Award. As a Distinguished Professor, Dr. Helen prays to be salt and light to those at her college.
