On May 11, 2013, a beautiful wedding ceremony between Dr. Tobias Hergert, the ancestor of faith in KarlsruheUBF, and M. Esther Choi, daughter of S. Samuel and Jong-Ae Choi from Yonhee UBF, was held at the Townhouse in Heidelberg. It was a meaningful and joyful wedding because God himself put two of his faithful servants together. Dr. Tobias has been working as a researcher at the University of Karlsruhe and has been faithful to the Karlsruhe pioneering ministry for the last 10 years. M. Esther Choi has been a very precious coworker to the Heidelberg ministry as well. For the last 8 years, she worked as a self-supporting missionary, finished her schooling, got a job by faith and devoted herself to serving the ministry. Around 200 people from chapters in Germany, Korea, Ukraine and the U.S.A attended the wedding to bless this couple.

M. Kaleb Hong delivered the wedding address based on 1 Peter 2:9. The address was filled with God’s grace and hope. Walter Nett, Pastor Abraham Lee, Reiner Schawienold, Peter Schweizer, and Wesley Song blessed the wedding with their prayers. Andreas, who has studied the bible with Dr. Tobias for the last 8 years, encouraged all of us by serving as the presider at the wedding reception. M. Hannah Saliuk, the older sister of the bride who serves in Ukraine, sang a special song for the wedding.

The father of Dr. Tobias is a retired pastor. He shared his joy with all of us and encouraged Esther and Tobias to be joyful based on Philippians 4:4“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!”

The father of the bride, S. Samuel Choi, praised God for his good work in his daughter’s life and prayed for the couple to be a blessing to many German students. We were also moved by Esther’s parents’ prayers and devotion to God, as they sent all three of their children as missionaries.

The reception programs were very joyful. Many beautiful music programs and blessings came from chapters in Germany, as well as from Chicago, Korea and the Kiev chapter in Ukraine.

Our prayer is that God may bless this family and use them to be a source of many blessings as they serve the souls at Karlsruhe campus as holy priests.
