Dear prayer co-workers,

Thank you very much for your prayers for South Sudan with your broken shepherd hearts. We heard that all our leaders in Malakal are fine now. We got the information after shepherdess Kimo, who is in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, talked to her husband, shepherd Philip Angelo via UN satellite phone yesterday. Shepherd Philip Angelo is still staying in the compound of UNMISS (UN mission in South Sudan) with his family in Malakal. Others who are staying in their houses are also fine now. Many innocent people have been killed during the last few days as well as many political leaders and elders during the last conflict. But we still don’t know how many people were killed in total so far. We just heard now that South Sudan government and its rebels have agreed on a ceasefire, which could end over a month of fighting in the country. However, I wonder who will take the responsibility for the innocent victims! I think it is not easy that they stop fighting due to their grudge between different tribes and their retaliation mentality. Only God can help them! Please pray continually for peace in South Sudan and Africa.
Thank you.
