I thank and praise God, who blessed our Easter Conference this year from beginning to end! Being given the opening message from Philippians 3 and agreeing to deliver in Bahasa Indonesian, was a rather challenging task. After practicing a few times by myself, I secretly despaired that I had agreed to try delivering in a language that I had basically no idea how to speak.

By God’s grace and my wonderful wife’s assistance and patience, I was able to deliver the message. I was very surprised to hear many kind compliments about my message. Based on my decision of faith to learn Bahasa Indonesian, I made an appointment to study and learn the language with one of the many great shepherds here in DePok Center. My first appointment is Monday, April 28.

The next message was given by Missionary Joshua Ahn on 1 Corinthians 15:1-11. His message was so gracious, there was a stillness in the room as he delivered. He really captured the essence of the Gospel and we were all very much moved.
The evening had the Easter Drama as part of the program. In putting together the drama, I wanted to give some of the newer members the opportunity to testify to God’s grace. To my stunned amazement, that is exactly what Ofi, Fao, Samuel, Vera, and Nona did. They all gave their life testimonies to encourage another character in the drama to accept Jesus. I believe this became a breakthrough moment for Nona. As she delivered her life testimony in the drama, she shed many tears. She changed her name to Boonunga after the drama. May God use all of the members of the drama as powerful witnesses of the Gospel in Indonesia. AMEN!
Throughout the entire Easter Conference, the music team members were always so bright and full of grace! In every single program, the environment was set by the enthusiasm of the people that led the praise songs. Their hard work was a huge blessing to all of us!
The second day of the conference began with the message from 1 Corinthians 15:12-58. This message was divided in half between Missionary Timothy Lee and Missionary John Lee. They both delivered powerful and heart-moving messages.

In the evening, we all attended our Group Bible studies, and deeply contemplated the meaning of Luke 5:1-11. This was where the word of God literally took me by surprise. It was almost as if Jesus said to me personally, in verse 4b;”’Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.’”
In my missionary life, I have been busy to study hard for my Masters, and maintain private English lessons with students. While the Saturday afternoon English John’s Gospel Bible study is good, I have not been able to have a 1 to 1 sheep to study with. Through Luke 5:1-11, and the heart –moving message given by Missionary Musa Im, I repented not taking care of one sheep, and I pray to find an Indonesian sheep to study God’s word with 1 to 1.
Teddy Bear and I consider ourselves to be very blessed, to be serving God here in Indonesia (Teddy Bear is Frida). We are continuing our prayer to have a baby soon, to be a blessing in Indonesia, and we are both very thankful to learn from the hardworking, never-say-die struggle of Msn. Peter Lee, in taking care of God’s ministry. May God establish Indonesia as the HUB for all Muslim nation pioneering. AMEN!

ONE WORD: PUT OUT INTO DEEP WATER
